--good job with your speaking, when youj get thrown off because of a difficulty reading some specific part, it reflects that annoyance—good point out of the gay marriage argument, nice selection of cp args, make sure you are as diverse with the disad, don’t get repetitive reading multiple of these cards—PERMUTATION!!!!!—also good with the overview, just don’t repeat yourself—not just that your stuff is better, but why, do full blown evidence comparisons
Disad Drills--7/28 (Baxter)
nice impact work, make sure you are doing it comparatively with the other side impacts the whole time, you probably also want to say that terrorism is real (whether you read a card is a different question)--may want to consider a brief 2nc overview as well--you don't need to repeat yourself at the end of the 215 argument--move more quickly in these transitions, not an issue of speaking quickly an issue of not wasting time
Practice Round 2---July 30th (Baxter)
Avery—fine job with the 1AC—start the 1ar sounding really strong, you need to do this more quickly though, probably with embedded clash—way way way too much time on condo, maybe 30 seconds in the 1ar—internet link arguments need something else, no clarity, say that your other link turns outweigh—extend specific args should be figured out earlier on before the debate next time—why is the fact that we find new authority a reason to vote negative?—strong claims, not they basically didn’t say anything, but they DROPPED this--
